About Donna Johnson

Founder & Facilitator, Navigation Point®

After more than 20 years straddling the corporate world and the arts, I saw first-hand how relentless pace, constant noise, and divided attention wear people down. I founded Navigation Point® as an antidote — a space where people can pause, regain their bearings, and put themselves first so that a fulfilling life doesn’t always come last.

Drawing on my professional background as an Artist, Expressive Arts Facilitator, Human Resources Professional, and Coach, I designed Navigation Point as a guided, creativity-infused pause: a safe and celebratory space where self-expression is welcomed, intentional pause is honoured, and participants reconnect with their inner wisdom.

My approach is grounded in my own lived experience. I have witnessed the power of mindful, intentional pauses — using creativity as a catalyst to quiet the noise, reduce stress, and unlock clarity. Research affirms what I have seen personally and professionally; that creative expression and mindfulness can lower stress, improve focus, and foster overall well-being.

I have worked with diverse groups and communities, bringing a trauma-informed lens to my facilitation. At the heart of my practice I belief that fun and joy are powerful forces for healing and resilience. Navigation Point is not a “fix all,” but rather a meaningful moment to attend to oneself in a playful and creative way — a pause that can restore balance and spark renewal.

Through Navigation Point, I am devoted to making these benefits accessible in non-clinical, research-informed ways. Each session I facilitates is personalized, restorative, and leaves participants with a tangible memento of their journey — a creative artifact that reinforces the insights and calm they’ve discovered.
